On a warm summer evening in 1998, under a full moon, on the streets in the south, Southside Crew was born. What had initially started as an underground street racing car club started by a bunch of friends all driven by their love for cars, racing, spinning, drifting, customised rides, and most importantly the title of Street King for the week. Street racing is all about reputation and street cred, and the only way to achieve this is to win races, and to return to defend your title the following week. Street Racing or as we in South Africa like to call it “Dragz” is an age old fanatic tradition. The founding members Victor Pardal, and Dawood Hoosein have been actively following the drag scene from a young age, and have both made a career/lifestyle out of their passion. Not only have they grown up to be street racers, but have left quite an impression on both the legal and illegal racing scene.
